Economic Insantiy

I rarely watch CNN however visiting family there was a segment I was viewing where they were reading viewer email. I can't quote this word for word but what I remember was well worth repeating because of it's raw truth.

We got into this financial crisis by encouraging people to spend money they didn't have, and by lending money to people who could not afford to pay it back.

We are trying to solve it by allowing our government to spend money it doesn't have by lending it to companies who will never be able to pay it back.

I like to remind people of the definition of insanity:
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
